Our ethos and values
The Grammar School at Leeds is a place of learning and success in all areas which inspires young minds – academically, in wider co-curricular life and in personal relationships.
At GSAL we have a positive, caring and inclusive environment where every child is valued and supported to become confident, resilient and capable.
We inspire each other to grow, reflect, be kind and have respect for ourselves and others, aware of the impact we can have both locally and nationally.
FREDIE
We are proud to incorporate FREDIE values – fairness, respect, equity, diversity, inclusion and engagement – in all parts of school life.
The school worked closely with former teaching fellow, Professor Peter D’Sena, Associate Professor of Learning and Teaching who made a signfiicant and valuable contribution to the school’s EDI programme.
